Op zoek naar een zwarte psycholoog, of bruine psycholoog, een persoon of kleurpsycholoog of counselor die je culturele achtergrond begrijpt en je kan helpen zonder stereotypering of vooroordelen? Ik heb een lijst samengesteld van zwarte psychologen, coaches en andere gekleurde professionals die aan drie belangrijke criteria voldoen:
Toegankelijkheid: U kunt passief informatie verzamelen over deze professionals via hun website of online pagina voordat u een afspraak maakt. Op deze manier kunt u bepalen of ze bij u passen voordat u tijd en geld investeert.
De kans om uw therapeut te worden: alle professionals op mijn lijst zijn zelfstandige of werken in kleine praktijken. Personen die binnen grote organisaties werken, heb ik met opzet niet meegenomen omdat zij vaak niet kunnen garanderen dat zij uw zorgverlener worden.
Achtergrond/etniciteit: Ik begrijp dat cultureel begrip cruciaal is als het gaat om therapie, coaching of counseling. Om deze reden heb ik alleen informatie over de achtergrond/etniciteit van professionals opgenomen als zij dit op hun website hebben vermeld.
Terugbetaling
Of de GGZ die u nodig heeft, wordt vergoed, hangt van verschillende factoren af, zoals of de zorgaanbieder is aangesloten bij een zorgverzekeraar en de omvang van uw zorgverzekering. Om uw situatie concreet te maken, kunt u het beste uw mogelijkheden bespreken met de door u gekozen zorgaanbieder. Het is vermeldenswaard dat vergoeding niet altijd gelijk staat aan betere of goedkopere zorg. Toch kunt u dit het beste bespreken met de door u gekozen zorgaanbieder, omdat zij simpelweg afspraken hebben gemaakt met uw zorgverzekeraar.
Investeren in geestelijke gezondheidszorg is van onschatbare waarde, omdat het de basis vormt van uw dagelijks leven. Uw geestelijke gezondheid heeft invloed op de manier waarop u met uzelf, anderen en uw kinderen omgaat. Bovendien beïnvloedt de geestelijke gezondheid van uw kind hun vermogen om goed te presteren op school, in sport en in sociale situaties met volwassenen en leeftijdsgenoten. Houd er bij het overwegen van de prijs van geestelijke gezondheidszorg rekening mee dat het kiezen van een kleinere praktijk in plaats van een grotere organisatie u in staat stelt een directere en persoonlijkere relatie met uw counselor op te bouwen, en uw investering gaat rechtstreeks naar het ondersteunen van een hardwerkende en gepassioneerde counselor die zich toelegt op het helpen van gezinnen. Dus laat je niet verblinden door het prijskaartje, benader je zorgverlener met een serieus plan en geef prioriteit aan je mentale welzijn.
